How to use

The complete allechokol guide

allechokol is a TikTok creator-discovery tool: give it one creator and, following the challenge hashtags that creator takes part in, it turns up a whole batch of lookalike creators with a similar content style, ranked by match. Discovery currently supports TikTok (Instagram / YouTube are in the works). Below covers every feature from sign-up to outreach at scale — use the contents on the left to jump to any section.

What it solves

In TikTok creator marketing, the biggest time sink usually isn't negotiating deals — it's everything before outreach: opening profiles one by one, scrolling videos, copying stats, hunting for emails, keeping spreadsheets. An afternoon of screening yields a handful of candidates, and it's always the same familiar faces.

allechokol flips the approach: instead of guessing with keywords, start from a creator who's already proven. Got one creator whose campaign performed? Paste their @handle and, following their content semantics and challenge hashtags, allechokol turns up a whole batch of lookalike creators ranked by match — followers, median plays, engagement rate, and risk flags included. It's like copying your success case at scale.

Billing is per search: one search, one credit — no searching, no spending, and failed searches are auto-refunded. Friendly enough for small teams and solo BDs.

Quick start

Three steps to your first search.

  1. Register and get 5 credits: sign up with email on the login page (email → code → set a password), or use one-click Google sign-in; new accounts get 5 free credits — enough for several full searches. Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the login page.
  2. Paste a seed creator: drop a TikTok creator's @handle or profile URL (e.g. @charlidamelio) into the source box; open "Advanced filters" to set a follower range and country/language if needed, and consider turning on "AI enhanced search". Once started, the search runs in the background, and several can run at once.
  3. Screen and export: results are ordered best-match first — browse the feed, or switch to Cards and swipe (right = Keep, left = Exclude); every Keep lands in the current campaign's shortlist, and one click exports the CSV for outreach.
Billing at a glance: 5 free credits on signup; 1 credit per search, +1 with AI enhanced search (2 total — recommended); adding/refreshing a watched video is billed in "watch ops" (10 ops = 1 credit, credits stay whole numbers). Failed searches are auto-refunded.

Four tips to get the most out of it:

  1. The seed sets the ceiling: pick a seed with a clear content direction and plenty of recent videos — recommendations get much more stable; vague, unfocused accounts spread poorly.
  2. Don't reuse the same seed over and over: creators already handled in a campaign won't reappear, so start from different strong creators to grow the candidate pool.
  3. Results getting stale? Tick "Change direction" on a re-run: it skips every tag already searched and spreads via new tags to mine fresh faces (see "Recent searches").
  4. AI enhanced search is worth the extra credit: AI drops overly generic noise tags from the seed so the spread stays focused and on-target.

Two ways to use it

The same UI opens two ways: a regular browser tab, or the Chrome extension side panel. Core features (search, results, shortlist, campaigns, watchlist) are identical in both; a few "browser powers" only exist with the extension installed and open in the side panel on a TikTok page.

CapabilityWebExtension panel
Search / Results / Shortlist / Campaigns / Watchlist
Auto-read the active TikTok tab's @handle
"Find similar" on a profile to seed a search
"Watch" on a video to add it to a campaign's watchlist
"Add to shortlist" on a profile to shortlist that creator
Read contact info on a profile (email / socials / MCN)
You can use discovery fully without the extension: every "browser power" has a manual fallback (e.g. paste the @handle yourself, paste a video link yourself).

Understanding results

Results are a batch of candidate creators, ordered best-match first — the higher the "match score" on a card, the closer the match.

Ranking only looks at content match, from two parts:

Score componentWeightMeaning
Content similarity70Semantic vector similarity of seed vs candidate content
Tag relevance30How well the candidate hits your target tags

Play counts, engagement rate, account quality, etc. are shown as reference only and do not affect ranking — traffic numbers can be faked; content style can't.

Browsing & deciding:

  1. Two views: Feed (many cards at once) and Cards (swipe one at a time: right = Keep, left = Exclude, with Undo).
  2. Sample window: the card's "recent performance" metrics can be computed over 10 / 20 / 30 recent posts (default 30); this only affects display, not ranking.
  3. Decisions: each card has Keep / Exclude; Keep auto-adds the creator to the current campaign's default shortlist.
  4. Four tabs: All / Unreviewed / Kept / Excluded, with live counts, reflecting your decisions.
  5. Bulk: select multiple cards and the bottom bar lets you "add to list" or "change status" in one go.
Each card has a red/yellow/green risk dot in the top corner — hover it to see the specific risk reasons (e.g. private account, data looks off) so you can screen quickly.

Creator detail & contact

Each candidate card is itself the creator profile — there's no separate detail drawer; everything is on the card. Clicking the avatar opens that creator's TikTok profile in the active tab.

  1. Identity: avatar, nickname, @handle, plus the match score and risk dot.
  2. Data overview: followers / following / hearts / video count / likes given.
  3. Recent performance: median play, avg play, engagement rate, avg likes, paid-ad share, posts per week, avg duration (computed over the "sample window" you picked above).
  4. Recent posts: up to 3 recent video covers you can open.
  5. Data trust: when the sample is too small, it's flagged "data may be unreliable" — don't draw conclusions from it.

Contact: the web app itself doesn't scrape contact info. With the extension installed, a contact card floats on the creator's TikTok profile listing the bio email (click to copy), the bio link, and social handles (Instagram / YouTube / WhatsApp / Telegram / Line / Linktree) plus any MCN/agency.

The contact card only parses what the creator publicly wrote in their bio — no WeChat or phone; if it isn't in the bio, it can't be found.

Shortlist

A shortlist is the list of creators you've picked for a campaign. Your first "Keep" on any creator auto-creates a "Default shortlist" for the current campaign and drops them in.

How decisions sync to campaign members:

DecisionEffect on campaign members
Keep (yes)Added as a member, status set to "To contact" (pending)
Exclude (no)Recorded as "Excluded"
Undo decisionRemoved from the member list
Creators already at "In collaboration (live)" or "Done" are not downgraded or removed by exclude/undo actions.

On the shortlist, for each creator you can:

  1. Add notes: each creator has an appendable note timeline; the latest few rotate through the list view.
  2. Add tags: tag creators (up to 20) to filter and group them.
  3. Advance the stage: use the status dropdown to move through outreach — to contact, contacted, replied, quoting, sample sent, confirmed, content pending, posted, etc.
  4. Bulk actions: select multiple creators to change status or add to a list at once.
  5. Export CSV: one click exports the whole list (with all metrics) as a detailed sheet.
  6. Blocklist entry: open the blocklist from the top of the list (see the next section).
Re-adding the same creator shows an "already in shortlist" notice and keeps the original record.

Campaigns

A campaign (also called a "project" in the product) is the container that organizes searches and creators — and the core of dedup. Every account has a default campaign.

  1. Create / switch: the top campaign switcher creates campaigns (just name one), switches between them, or shows "All campaigns" for a cross-campaign view.
  2. Search needs a specific campaign: you can't start a search from the "All campaigns" view; if none is picked, one is auto-created named after the source @handle.
  3. How dedup works: creators already handled (kept or excluded) in a campaign won't reappear in that campaign's later results, avoiding duplicate outreach.
  4. Dashboard: a per-campaign overview — search count, completed searches, credits spent, outreach reply rate (shows "—" when there's no outreach data yet).
The selected campaign scopes search, shortlist, watchlist, and recent searches; "All campaigns" is a cross-campaign rollup (but you can't search from it).

Blocklist

Open "Blocklist" from the top of the shortlist to add / remove creators you never want to see again by @handle, and view the list.

Adding to the blocklist marks matching shortlist creators as "Blacklisted" and flags that creator in later search results; it does not hide them from results — the thing that controls "no reappearance" is campaign dedup.

Video watchlist

Add TikTok videos you care about to a watchlist and keep tracking their play/like trends over time.

  1. Add: paste a video link or video ID (short links are expanded automatically); with the extension, click "Watch" on a video page; CSV bulk import is also supported (header video_url,note).
  2. Billing (watch ops): each add or refresh costs 1 watch op; every 10 ops rolls up to 1 credit, and credits stay whole numbers. A banner at the top shows your remaining ops.
  3. Manual refresh: each video has a 10-minute cooldown (wait a bit before refreshing again); a failed refresh auto-refunds the op.
  4. Refresh all: bulk refresh that skips items still on cooldown, charges at most ceil(count ÷ 10) credits, and reports refreshed / skipped / failed counts.
  5. Trend chart: you need at least two snapshots to draw a trend; switch between plays / likes / comments / shares / saves and see total growth, per-day, and percent.
  6. Manage: edit notes, delete (deleting keeps the history). Up to 50 videos per account.
There is no "daily auto-refresh" — data comes only from your manual refreshes or from the fetch when you add a video. Re-adding the same video is free and idempotent (but deleting then re-adding charges an op again).

Recent searches

"Recent searches" lists your latest searches within the current campaign scope ("All campaigns" shows everything); each row shows the source @, platform and time, and status.

  1. Reopen: click any past search to go back to its results.
  2. Re-run: on the results page, click "Re-run (same filters)" to run again with the same settings (inheriting the original campaign); a re-run is a new search and charges 1 credit as usual.
  3. Change direction (shift_challenge): tick "Change direction" in the re-run options to skip every tag already searched and spread via new tags to mine more fresh candidates.

Account

The Account page centralizes your profile, credits, and usage.

  1. Profile: avatar (an initial letter), display name, email, join date, last login; admin accounts show an "Admin" badge.
  2. Credit balance: live balance with a clear warning when it drops to 3 or below; "Buy credits" opens the plans, "Manage subscription" opens the Stripe portal.
  3. Usage stats: search count, completed searches, credits spent, outreach reply rate ("—" when there's no outreach data).
  4. Quick links: shortlist, campaigns, recent searches, watchlist.
  5. Credit ledger: expand to see search charges, failed-search refunds, welcome credits, admin grants, etc. (last 50 entries).
  6. Language & logout: one-click zh / en (the whole site, including this tutorial, switches with it), plus log out.

"Buy credits" offers three tiers, each available as a one-time credit pack or a monthly / annual subscription:

PlanOne-time priceCredits
Starter¥39.9038 credits (+18 first purchase)
Growth (most popular)¥59.9068 credits (+58 first purchase)
Pro¥99.90128 credits (+88 first purchase)
The first-purchase bonus is granted once, on your first-ever purchase; subscriptions grant credits monthly / yearly. Credits never expire, and failed searches are auto-refunded.

Chrome extension

The extension embeds allechokol into your TikTok browsing — use it from the side panel and unlock several "browser powers."

  1. Install: install the allechokol extension from the Chrome Web Store; click the toolbar icon to open the side panel.
  2. Login sync: after signing in on the web, the side panel syncs your session automatically — no second login.
  3. Read the active tab: auto-detects the @handle of the TikTok profile you're viewing and fills the search source.
  4. Find similar: profiles show "Find similar" (search immediately with your last filters) and "Precise find similar" (open the side panel to fine-tune first).
  5. Watch: click "Watch" on a video page, pick a campaign, and the video is added to that campaign's watchlist.
  6. Add to shortlist: click "Add to shortlist" on a profile, pick a campaign, and the creator you're viewing is added to that campaign's shortlist.
  7. Contact: a contact card floats on the creator's profile showing bio email / social handles / MCN (see "Creator detail & contact").
Day-to-day UI/feature updates ship via the web app, so the extension rarely needs a new release.

Why generally pick country OR language? They use different recall paths; if you set both, "Language" wins. Pick country to find by region, or language for a localized recall.

What's the difference between web and extension? Core features are identical; the extension additionally provides "read the active tab, find similar, watch, add to shortlist, profile contact card." See "Two ways to use it."

Does searching the same creator twice charge twice? No — a repeat search focuses the existing job; re-adding the same creator to a shortlist shows an "already in shortlist" notice and keeps the original record.

Blocklist vs campaign dedup? The blocklist is a global marker — that creator gets a "Blacklisted" flag in later results as a reminder to stay away; campaign dedup is what actually keeps creators from reappearing, scoped to a single campaign.
